About the Book
When the gods withdraw to Asgard, their magic thins, and mortals rush to claim what remains.
Anya, the regent of Alfheim, stands between her people and a Wexian war machine armed with a chained dragon. Balti, a half-elf with a soft heart and a very sharp sword, hunts the invaders to redeem a past that isn’t his fault. Glyrna, a rising Völva, can bend blood and ash into seidr, but the gift always takes its due. And in the shadows above the fjord, Aric of Wexia believes only one thing will finish the conquest: Sumarbrander, Freyr’s vanished blade.
Fate ties them together. Fire decides what survives.
Tropes you’ll find: found family, reluctant allies, queen in exile, sword of the gods, slow-burn/mid-heat romantasy, dragon siege, morally gray commander, magic with a cost.
Content notes (18+): battle violence, peril, grief, romantic intimacy (tasteful/spicy on-page), themes of conquest and resistance.
